A Neat New Year's Eve Sight

While I was driving on my way home tonight, I saw a very bright object near the moon that looked like a star... I thought it was really pretty so I took a pic right when I got home! I had no idea what I was looking at until Mikey told me he saw something on the Internet that said the object was Venus, which is verified here! Unfortunately, you can't tell too well from the pic, but I promise you it was a pretty neat sight! :)

Whoa... A Beef-Scented Body Spray?!

I came across this article the other day saying Burger King is actually selling a men's body spray called "Flame" for $3.99 (if you can believe it!)... haha, I guess it's only for a limited time so you better hurry and get yours! ;)

I just thought it was funny and worth mentioning because for some unknown reason Mikey thinks The Burger King is his hero and really enjoys the freaky commercials?! Heh, to show you how serious he is, he even got the Xbox 360 games (Sneak King, Big Bumpin' and Pocket Bike Racers) when Burger King was selling those too (hah, we just played Big Bumpin' a couple of weeks ago... not a bad game actually!). ALSO, Mikey has a pic of The Burger King on his eBay account (yeah, I thought that was a little scary too!). :)

It's Christmas Eve... Whoo Hoo!

Even though Mikey & I had to work today (only a half day though... yay), it was still a pretty good day... besides, Santa's on his way! ;) We made snickerdoodle cookies for Santa, which was lots of fun and I think they actually turned out nice... yum! We also did some last minute present wrapping... phew, who would've thought that would be so much work?! Now, ALL that's left to do is to wait for Santa and his reindeer to come... :)

She Did It!

Yep, Gwen actually did it... she got her ears pierced tonight at Claire's in the mall! She had been wanting to for awhile, but just got the courage to go through with it this past weekend. She REALLY wanted to do it on Sunday, but it was way too cold so Mikey & I took her tonight instead. Gwen was such a trooper... she only cried a little! ;)

Gwen also wrapped some presents today since we were stuck inside because of the "lovely" weather... aw, I think she did a GREAT job! ;)

Gryfalia's Aerie In Downtown Bloomington

I started my Christmas shopping today (yeah, I know... heh, I like to wait until the last minute) and went to Downtown Bloomington to buy some things for Mikey at one of his favorite shops, Gryfalia's Aerie (uh, not sure how to pronounce it though?). Can't exactly tell you what I bought him because it has to be a surprise, but Mikey is really into fantasy games like Star Wars- Miniatures and D&D (Dungeons and Dragons to all you non-players... like me, but it sounds like fun from what Mikey tells me!). ;)

I really like the wonderful historic feel of Downtown Bloomington and felt an overwhelming need to take a couple of pics:

Well, it's FRIDAY NIGHT and I'm at home... yep, lots of fun! Anyways, if I WERE to go out for a fun night of PARTYING, these are really cool songs by Lady GaGa that would FO' SURE be great to DANCE to!

Gwen wasn't at school today (and will be on vacation for the next two weeks) so she couldn't give her teacher, Mrs.Wagner, her Christmas present. Gwen was pretty bummed, but hopefully, this will make her feel better so Mrs. Wagner knows that Gwen didn't forget about her (shhh, it's a gift card to Bath & Body Works with a cute little lamb tree ornament!).

Ice, Ice, Baby! ♫ ♪

Whoa, we just had an ice storm! Gwen was lucky because school was cancelled, so she spent the day at daycare... while Mikey and I still had to go to work (ugh)! But, surprisingly, the roads weren't that bad and all the ice on the trees really did look beautiful, so I guess it was ok. ;)

Well, here's Gwen's letter to Santa! ;)

Macy's is doing a wonderful thing where you can drop your letters to Santa off in Santa's special mailbox and it will help the Make-A-Wish Foundation!!

My nephew, Cameron, actually has a wish with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to be able to see Nascar since he loves cars! :) Cam is doing so well now, but has had medical needs since he was born because of several heart defects, among a couple of other special concerns. He's six years old (same as Gwen!) and really has come such a long way... he still has a feeding tube though, but is finding more and more things every day that he really likes to eat (heh, especially veggie sticks!). So, hopefully, in a few years he'll be able to take his feeding tube out. Yay! Cam is THE most sweetest little boy you'll ever meet and we're so proud of him!!!

Both Mikey and I just got new glasses and this is the case mine came in! I've never seen ANYTHING like it before and just had to show a pic, haha! Mikey looks pretty sexy in his new glasses so I'll try to post a pic tomorrow of him wearing them (sorry, can't take a pic now because he's sleeping like a normal person!). Heh, please forgive the lame post... I'm REALLY tired! But, I'm going to bed now so good night and sweet dreams (btw, awesome song by The Eurythmics)! ;)
